Vulcan 948RX 48" Gas Griddle, Thermostatic Controls, 1" Steel Plate, Natural Gas

The Vulcan 48" Heavy Duty Gas Griddle from the 900RX Series is a countertop gas griddle built for commercial kitchens that need consistent, high-volume cooking across a wide surface. Its 48 in x 24 in polished steel griddle plate gives restaurant and foodservice operators a broad cooking area for eggs, burgers, pancakes, and other short-order items.

Four U-shaped aluminized steel burners, each rated at 27,000 BTU, deliver a total of 108,000 BTU across the plate. The thermostatic control holds temperatures from 200°F to 550°F, and the pilot safety valve supports safe, steady operation. Manual and electric ignition options are included, and the unit ships with a gas pressure regulator for natural gas connection at 3/4" NPT.

The 1 in thick polished steel plate is framed by a stainless steel and aluminized steel body in silver. A cool bullnose front ledge, fully welded grease chute, and bottom heat shields support daily food handling, while the 6-quart stainless steel grease tray collects runoff. Four adjustable 4 in legs keep the unit level on the counter, and 4 in stainless steel back and tapered side splashes contain grease and debris.

Measuring 48 in wide, 31.5 in deep, and 15.25 in high, the griddle fits standard countertop footprints in a commercial kitchen. It is CSA Design Certified and NSF Listed, and it includes a 1-year warranty by the manufacturer.
