Vulcan 948RX 48" Gas Griddle, Thermostatic Controls, 1" Steel Plate, Liquid Propane

The Vulcan 48" Heavy Duty Gas Griddle is a countertop unit built for commercial kitchens that need a wide, thermostatically controlled cooking surface. With a 48 inch by 24 inch polished steel plate and four U-shaped aluminized steel burners, it suits restaurant lines, diners, and high-volume food service operations.

Each of the four burners delivers 27,000 BTU for a total of 108,000 BTU, and the thermostatic control holds temperatures from 200°F to 550°F across the plate. The 1 inch thick polished steel griddle plate supports searing, grilling, and holding, while the 12 inch burner sections allow zone-based cooking. The unit runs on liquid propane and connects with a 3/4" NPT gas fitting; manual and electric ignition are both provided, and a gas pressure regulator is included.

The stainless steel and aluminized steel body has a cool bullnose front ledge, a fully welded grease chute, and bottom heat shields. A 6 quart stainless steel grease tray sits below the chute, and 4 inch stainless steel back and tapered side splash guards contain grease and debris. The griddle stands on four 4 inch adjustable legs and ships without casters. It measures 48 inches wide, 31.5 inches deep, and 15.25 inches high, and weighs 480 pounds as shipped.

The Vulcan 900RX Series griddle is CSA Design Certified and NSF Listed for commercial kitchen use. It includes a 1-year warranty by the manufacturer.
