The Vulcan VHP Series 12" countertop gas hotplate is a commercial kitchen appliance built for restaurants, cafes, and food service operations that need focused high heat in a compact footprint. With two open burners and a total output of 60,000 BTU, it supports sauteing, searing, and holding at the line.

Each of the two burners delivers 30,000 BTU/hr and uses cast iron burner heads and cast iron grates for heat retention and stability under pans. The open burner style with standing pilot ignition and manual controls gives the chef direct command of flame level. Lift-off burner heads simplify daily cleaning, and a pull-out crumb tray collects debris below the cooking surface.

The unit measures 12" wide, 31.37" deep, and 16.62" high, with a stainless steel body in silver and a 4" elevated rear step-up backsplash. It stands on four adjustable legs, each 4 inches, so the hotplate can be leveled on a counter. Gas connection is 3/4" NPT for natural gas, with an inlet pressure of NG 5" W.C. The hotplate is CSA Certified and NSF Certified for commercial food handling.
